Buttermilk Coleslaw featuring No Salt Lemon Pepper

This is a southern style coleslaw with a mayonnaise base - we added buttermillk to give it the tang that pairs so well with BBQ. 


1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups green cabbage, shredded
1 cup red cabbage, shredded
1 carrot, grated

1. In a large mixing bowl whisk the buttermilk, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt and no salt lemon pepper until well mixed.
2. Add in the cabbages, and carrot. Toss well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours ahead.
