Filet Mignon with Mustard Peppercorn Crust with Victoria Taylor's Pepper Mill Mix

Ingredients

3 tablespoons Pepper Mill Mix
4 filets or rib eye steaks (5-8 ounces each)
1/4 cup Dijon Mustard

Directions

1. Crush the peppercorns with a mortar and pestle or use a mallet to crush them in a plastic bag. Crush the pepper until the hard black peppercorns begin to break up.
2. Coat the steaks with the Dijon Mustard, press the crushed pepper into all sides of the steaks. Let the steaks rest while you prepare the grill.
3. Grill over medium to high heat for 5 to 6 minutes per side for medium rare. Take off the grill at 120 degrees and then rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
