Ginger Citrus Salad

A welcome addition to any meal this salad has big bold flavors. My Ginger Salt ties the citrus flavors and basil together, offering a mouth watering punch.


1-2 teaspoons Ginger Salt
1 large ruby red grapefruit
2 blood oranges
1 minneola or tangerine
6 Leaves fresh basil, torn

1. Slice the ends off the fruit. Stand the fruit upright on one of the flat ends. Cut away a section of the peel from the top all the way down to your cutting board. Be sure that you are making a clean slice and removing all of the white pith.
2. Use this first slice as a guide to remove the rest of the peel and pith. Make slices all the way around the fruit until all of the peel and pith are gone.
3. Once the peel and pith have been removed, lay the orange on its side and cut it into slices, as thick or thin as you like.
4. Arrange fruit slices on a platter, sprinkle with Ginger Salt and torn basil. Serve immediately.
